City Hall services move to Marina Plaza
Construction on League City's City Hall will temporarily move employees and services to a new location.
For the next 12 to 18 months, League City Hall will be under construction to repair damage caused by Hurricane Ike. During this time, employees and services will be relocated to Marina Plaza, located at 2450 S. Shore Blvd.
The first phase of construction, set to begin Nov. 5, will remove the building's facade, making way for a new structure and facade to be built.
Helen Hall Library will also be affected by construction this month.
Starting Nov. 9 through Nov. 21, the library will be closed to the public for the installation of a new air conditioning system. During that time, the library will offer alternative services, including pick-up for holds at the front door, return of library materials through the outside book drop, and a limited selection of new books, children's books and DVDs for check-out.
A free Internet/WiFi computer lab will be provided at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, located at 400 W. Walker St. Children's programming will also be available there.
Online services will still be available at www.leaguecitylibrary.org.
