Vote to decide student off days for CCISD

The Clear Creek Independent School District is asking parents to vote to decide what days students will be off in the 2011-12 academic school year.

From now until Nov. 30, parents may choose three calendar options developed by the District Educational Improvement Council Calendar Committee, available on the district's web site at www.ccisd.net/calrecommend/.

The first choice parents need to make involves when the second semester should begin in 2011, with choices being Tuesday, Jan. 3, or Wednesday, Jan. 4.

The second thing parents need to consider is when they would prefer student holidays for teacher in-service.

The CCISD Board of Trustees has final authority regarding adoption of the school calendar.
