Clear Lake Symphony fundraiser to feature Bay Area chefs
The Clear Lake Area Symphony Society (CLASS) will host the seventh annual Great Chefs of the Bay Area fundraiser on Thursday, May 5, at the Nassau Bay Hilton Hotel.
Beginning at 7 p.m., patrons will take part in a multi-course sit-down dinner with a menu that includes dishes donated by participating restaurants. A sample of the menu includes spinach pakora, vegetable samosas, chicken oscar (stuffed chicken breast with crab meat and asparagus) topped with roasted garlic hollandaise sauce, seared beef medallion with caramelized Vidalia onions topped with Maytag blue cheese and ratatouille.
During the evening, participating restaurant chefs will entertain attendees with descriptions of their featured menu items and other menu offerings that their restaurants are known for in the Bay Area. A silent auction will feature items from local area businesses.
Guests will also get to meet symphony members and celebrate their recent award from the Texas Association for Symphony Orchestras for "Top Fundraiser for Symphony Orchestras.”
Tickets are $60 each or $450 per table of eight with checks, Visa, MasterCard or Discover cards accepted. Tax-deductible contributions are accepted if one cannot attend the fundraiser. For more information, contact Sherrie Matula, president of CLASS, at 281-486-0224.
The Nassau Bay Hilton Hotel is located at 3000 NASA Road One.
