Westwood-Bales students study Texas Indian history
Social studies students at the Westwood and Bales campuses have been studying Texas Indian history by creating an Indian village.
Students in Piper German's and Leslie Breaux’s classes joined the Caddo, Jumano, Karankawa and Lipan Apache tribes. The tribes then created items based on how their tribes’ lived. Among the things they made were a Caddo beehive hut, an adobe oven, pottery and a canoe.
The Westwood campus is located at 506 W. Edgewood, and the Bales campus is located at 211 Stadium Lane.
