Local runner completes Girls on the Run Houston
Dale Kohn, 55, of Friendswood, completed the Girls on the Run Houston in 22:53.7.
The race took place Sunday, May 20 in Houston. A total of 566 runners finished the 5K race, which started and ended at John Paul II Catholic School.
Girls on the Run Houston is an after school program for girls in third through eighth grade that combines running with healthy living education.
Allison Urvan of The Woodlands was the women's overall winner with a time of 17:48.6, while Allan Shaffer was the men's winner in 18:54.1.
