Moody Gardens kids camps start next week

Moody Gardens is offering several educational summer camps for children ages 3 to 14 beginning June 25.

Summer Safari day camps for kids ages 5 and 6 will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the weeks of June 25, July 23 and Aug. 6. Participants will travel the oceans and rainforests as they visit animals there, according to a press release.

Eco Expeditions for kids ages 7 to 9 will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the weeks of June 25, July 23 and Aug. 6. According to a press release, the expeditions will take explorers to the depths of the oceans and the tops of the trees.

The Summer Safari and Eco Expeditions camps include crafts, a snack and visits to the park's attractions. The cost is $250 for the week, $60 per day.

Pre-school camps for kids ages 3 to 4 will be held 9-11 a.m. as follows: Hanging with the Bats (June 30), Stars and Spines (July 14) and Slitherin' (July 28). Campers must be accompanied by adults. The cost is $20 (adult included).
