Friendswood mall named in slip-and-fall suit

A Clearlake couple is suing over claims a Friendswood-area mall failed to provide customers with a safe shopping environment.

Cora and Charles Cannon filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, June 19 in the Harris County District Court against Baybrook Mall in Friendswood and The Millard Group, citing negligence.

The Cannons say Cora Cannon sustained serious injuries while shopping at Baybrook Mall, located at 500 Baybrook Mall in Friendswood. According to the brief, she slipped and fell on water left carelessly on the floor.

The Cannons are seeking damages and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney John Osborne.
