Sierra Nevada Corporation to hold career fair
Sierra Nevada Corp.'s Space Systems will host a career fair from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the Hilton Houston, 3000 E. NASA Parkway, Clear Lake.
The corporation is looking to hire engineers, technicians and other program personnel to help design and build its Dream Chaser Space System in Louisville, Colo.
Part of NASA's Commercial Crew Development Program, Dream Chaser will transport crew and cargo to and from low Earth orbit, including the International Space Station.
Louisville, located 22 miles northwest of Denver, is home to some of the highest-paid aerospace engineers in the country. It's the second-largest area for aerospace employment in the nation.
The town features an urban atmosphere with a low crime rate along with picturesque mountains. CNN Money voted Louisville the “Best Place to Live” in 2011.
