Hustle baseball team brings home USSSA World Series title
Team members include Ryan Blacketer, Kenny Garza, Jordan Medellin, Spencer Osburn, Parker Pleasants, Tyler Reistetter, Blake Russell, Bryce Ryden, Nicholas Smecca, Reid Traylor and Isaiah Winkler.
The Hustle 9U baseball team is the champion of the USSSA World Series Tournament, according to a press release.
The team, led by manager Hondo Medellin and assistant managers David Osburn, Kenny Garza and Graham Ryden, bested all other teams, as they played from July 5 through July 8 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
"These young athletes put in the hours to reach this level," Medellin said. "It was a great journey to Gulf Shores, and they earned this title through hard work and perseverance."
Team members include Ryan Blacketer, Kenny Garza, Jordan Medellin, Spencer Osburn, Parker Pleasants, Tyler Reistetter, Blake Russell, Bryce Ryden, Nicholas Smecca, Reid Traylor and Isaiah Winkler.
Galveston Island native Medellin created and manages the elite athletic training program and provides players of all ages evaluation, guidance and competitive opportunities in baseball year-round.
The program has produced numerous top college and professional baseball players.
