Friendswood runner completes Orange Leaf 5K
Alejandro Hernandez, 10, of Friendswood, completed the Orange Leaf 5K in 43:03.
The event was held Saturday, July 14 in New Braunfels. A total of 169 runners finished the 5-kilometer race, which started in the parking lot of Orange Leaf-Creekside Shopping Center.
The course is USA Track and Field-certified.
Connor Keisling, of Atlanta, Ga., was the men's overall winner with a time of 19:59, while Betty Schulte, of Sabinal, was the winner in the women's division in 24:11.
