Annual New Teachers' Luncheon to take place Aug. 17

The Clear Creek Independent School District will host the 46th annual New Teachers' Luncheon on Friday, Aug. 17 at the South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center.

The event is held each year to welcome new teachers to the Clear Lake/Bay Area Houston community. This year, more than 300 new teachers will join the CCISD.

Local businesses and individuals will have an opportunity to sponsor a teacher for $25 or more. To sponsor a teacher, send a check to New Teacher Luncheon, 1201 E. NASA Parkway, Houston, TX 77058. Sponsors should include their names on the check as they would like it to appear to the teacher. Sponsors who donate $200 or more are invited to attend the luncheon.

Local businesses can also purchase an ad or donate items for the welcome bags, which will be given to the new teachers.
