Registration now open for Perry Family YMCA youth sports
The Perry Family YMCA in League City has opened registration for all its fall sports programs for youth ages 4-18.
The program includes dance, martial arts, gymnastics and tumbling classes. Sports programs include soccer, football, NFL flag football, baseball, roller hockey, basketball, Tee-ball, softball, volleyball and the swim team.
All programs are based on the needs of the participants. Sports teams have one weeknight practice and one weekend game each week.
The YMCA's philosophy is to instruct youth in the value of teamwork, respect and fair play while enjoying a sport and developing athletic skills, according to the YMCA website. The emphasis is put on team building and participation more than winning.
Family involvement is encouraged and parents are invited to contribute their time as volunteer coaches and team parents.
The dates, times, cost and registration for each program can be found on the YMCA's website by visiting ymcahouston.org.
The Perry Family YMCA is located at 1700 W. League City Parkway, in League City.
