League City Chamber seeks nominations for Patriot Award Luncheon
The League City Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its Patriot Awards to be given on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
The League City Patriot Awards honor police officers, firefights, EMS personnel and Galveston County Sheriff's Office deputies showing exemplary service in the area. Nominees will be recognized from each professional group, with one Patriot Award given for each department.
The event follows the celebration of Patriots Day on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
"League City residents are extremely proud of the first responders who protect and serve the community," said Jason E. Ebey, president and CEO of the League City Chamber, in a press release. "This event will convey the identical feelings from the business community of League City."
The luncheon will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 at the South Shore Harbour Resort, located at 2500 South Shore Blvd. in League City.
Nominations must be submitted by noon on Friday, Aug. 17 for consideration. The nomination application can be found at leaguecitytx.usachamber.com/virDirEditorAssets/LeagueCityTX/chamberAccess/docs/2012%20Patriot%20Award%20Nomination%20Application.pdf.
