Youth swim lessons available in Pasadena
The City of Pasadena Parks and Recreation will offer three sessions of swimming programs in the fall at Strawberry Pool.
The first session runs from Aug. 27 to Sept. 7, offering separate courses for ages 3-5, 6-12 and 13 and older. Fall Sessions II and III will take place from Sept. 17-28 and Oct. 8-19, respectively.
All sessions offer the same age group swim opportunities, with further division by swimming skill and ability. Each two-week program meets Monday-Thursday for eight total classes. The cost is $30 for residents and $35 for nonresidents.
An aqua jogging class will also be offered from 6-7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the fall. The cost is $30 for residents and $35 for nonresidents, or $2.50 per class. Senior citizens get $5 off.
Lap swimming and water walking is also available for $2 per session or $30 for a three-month pass.
Strawberry Pool is located at 1114 Parkside Drive in Pasadena. Its regular fall hours for laps and water walking are 4-8 p.m. Monday-Friday.
