League City to host Punt, Pass and Kick Sept. 16
The League City Parks and Recreation Department will hold a Punt, Pass and Kick competition 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex.
The event is free and open to girls and boys between 8 and 15. Advanced registration is required.
According to the parks department program, participants can only wear soft-sole gym shoes. No football shoes, cleats or turf shoes will be allowed. A copy of each participant's birth certificate is required prior to the event.
The Parks and Recreation Department will provide all equipment including footballs and tees. Participants are encouraged to check in at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the competition.
The top finishers from the League City event will advance to a sectional competition. Sectional winners will advance to a championship event during halftime of a Houston Texans football game.
