Chamber Golf Classic tees off Sept. 26-27
The 26th Annual Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26 to Thursday, Sept. 27 at Bayou Golf Club.
This Golf Classic tournament is the Chamber's largest fundraiser of the year.
The event will feature a total of four flights and 576 golfers, with 144 golfers in each flight and four players on each team. PGA card-carrying players will not be allowed to participate.
To reserve a time spot, contact Jenny Senter at the Chamber by calling 409-935-1408. Registration is still open for 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26. There are 15 team spots available. Also, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. there are twelve teams still available, and at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. there are six teams available.
No teams are available at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27.
The individual entry fee is $200 per player, which pays for the course, a golf cart, a custom Nike golf shirt, custom cap, sleeve of balls, custom ball marker, meals, on-course refreshments and more.
The Team Business Package costs $800, which allows four golfers to play and includes all of the benefits of the individual entry fee plus an advertising sign that will be placed on the green or in a tee box.
The Special Individual Business Package costs $300 and allows one golfer to play and includes all the benefits of the Team Business Package.
Sign sponsorships cost $150 individually for those interested in setting up an advertising sign but are unable to compete in the golf tournament.
Hospitality tents are sold out and no longer available.
The tournament will also feature the Golf Ball Fall event, sponsored by BP, which allows entrants the chance to win $1,500. Balls can be purchased for $10 individually or one dozen for $100. The owner of the first ball to land in the hole or closest to the hole will win $1,500.
