University of Houston-Clear lake hosts Welcome Back Bash
University of Houston-Clear Lake will host its Welcome Back Bash from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at its Alumni Plaza.
The event, sponsored by the Office of Alumni and Community Relations and the Office of Student Life, is free and open to university students and alumni, as well as their friends and families. The bash will feature carnival-style games and activities, including a ball toss, a photo booth and face painting.
Community partners such as the JSC Federal Credit Union will be on hand with displays. The U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army will likewise be on hand offering activities.
Alumni are encouraged to bring their alumni membership cards for a chance to receive a 2012 Welcome Back Bash T-shirt, available while supplies last. Students and alumni are also encouraged to pose for the UHCL class photo, which will be taken near the plaza at 6:30 p.m.

The University of Houston-Clear Lake offers more than 80 undergraduate- and graduate-degree programs, including a doctoral program, from its four schools, which include the School of Business, School of Education, School of Human Sciences and Humanities, and School of Science and Computer Engineering.
