Two Clear Lake-area runners complete Hottest Half
Two Clear Lake-area runners completed the Hottest Half on Aug. 12 in Dallas.
Mark Girouard, 56, of Galveston completed the race in 1:38:06, while Jaime Otero, 56, of Webster crossed the finish line in 1:54:56.
A total of 1,337 runners finished the 13.1-mile half marathon, which started and ended at the Norbuck Park parking lot.
Matthew Peters of Denton was the overall winner of the race with a time of 1:16:38. Virginia Jones of League City was the winner in the women's division, finishing in 1:23:52.
