Pearland defeats Clear Creek
The Pearland Oilers defeated the Clear Creek Wildcats in high school volleyball action Aug. 24.
Pearland won the match in three games, 25-23, 25-19, and 27- 25.
The victory lifted Pearland to 6-1 on the season.
Waverly Sadler led the way for Pearland with 14 kills in the victory. Sadler has 32 kills in eight games played this year.
Ashlee Vann has 21 kills in seven games played and Autumn Taylor has 25 kills in nine games.
Up next, Pearland will battle the La Porte Bulldogs on Tuesday, Aug.28.
Friday's loss dropped Clear Creek to 6-4 on the year.
Ashley Smith had 14 kills in the loss for Clear Creek. Smith has 190 kills in 30 games played this season.
Ariel Froeschi has 28 kills in 16 games and Caroline Reed averages 1.67 kills per game.
Up next, The Clear Creek Wildcats will host Deer Park on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
