SCENE Magazine is hosting the event, which will feature independently owned dining, local art work, live music and Texas brews. The Texas Indie Music Showdown band lineup features a number of local favorites, including Cassette Tape, Mama Tried, The Last Hour and Six Gun Sound. Acoustic acts Scott Easterwood, Hold Fast Fables and Chris Handy will perform on the Norman Frede Chevrolet Songwriter Showcase stage.

The food and beer tasting will begin at 5:30 p.m., featuring contributions from Signature Bistro, Crazy Alan's Swamp Shack, Tookie's Hamburgers, Mattia's Trattoria and Piano Bar, Latitudes Restaurant and Rotondo's Giant Hoagies. Mamacita's Fine Mexican Food and Sudie's Catfish and Seafood House will also be selling food.

Local brewers No Label Brewing, Southern Star Brewing Co., Leprechaun Cider and Galactic Coast Brewing will be offering beer samples. Artists Chris Morphis, Shelley Shanks and Ike Rodriguez will all have works for sale.

The park closes at 9 p.m., but the party continues two miles east of Clear Lake Park at Cabo's Official SCENEfest Post Party with festivities and live music from Obsolete August. Cabo is located at 2513 NASA Parkway in Seabrook.
